Fetch
2700 Miamisburg Ctrvle Road #746 Reviews ![]() By NathanW from Dayton, OH Posted May 28, 2017 Got my dog from here a German shep/Lab mix. Beautiful dog and has been healthy since I bought her 2 years ago. If she has healthy issues they are hereditary or come from me. Fetch treats those dogs nice. ![]() By Pat from Springboro OH, OH Posted Mar 6, 2017 This is my third dog I've purchased from Fetch. My pomachacha lived 15 years and my minpin lived 14 years..and was completely healthy up until the last couple of years of his life. I purchased in Nov 2017 a darling cocker spaniel. He is loving, healthy, and smart...The place seemed fine to me. ![]() By Sherry K from Beavercreek, OH Posted Feb 26, 2017 I too have heard the warnings about purchasing puppies from pet stores. I don't want to support "puppy mills" either but we purchased a precious male Yorkie from FETCH who was an absolute joy and lived to be over 12 yrs old and our son bought a beautiful male Maltese from FETCH who was nearly 13 before succumbing to cancer. Additionally, my best friend purchased her "Doodle" (Dachshound/Poodle mix) from Beavercreek FETCH and he is about to turn 13 and very healthy. He is also one of the cutest dogs of that breed I have ever seen! I do appreciate the effort that some excellent breeders go to in attempts to minimize possible health anomalies and Orthopedic problems, but I can absolutely vouch for three beautiful FETCH puppies who turned out to be AMAZING and BELOVED family members! ![]() By bob w from wilmington, OH Posted Mar 29, 2016 my wife and I bought a pug from fetch in 2001 he recently passed and we were heart broken,, point is he lived 15 years,, I would challenge anyone to buy a pup somewhere else and do better than that fetch is awesome and I'm going back to get another one ![]() By former employee from Dayton, OH Posted Dec 25, 2015 Sorry but their puppies are purchased from puppy mills Saw quite a few puppies put down, due to deformities, due to overbreeding which is common in puppy mill pups. Owner is quite heartless, cares only about money ADOPT DON'T SHOP! Put Fetch out of business! ![]() By Suzanne L from Dayton, OH Posted Mar 27, 2014 I think that Fetch is an incredible dog store that does not go through puppy mills. They have the greatest dogs and deals. But even if they did go through puppy mills, where do you think it goes if they can't sell it? It will most likely go back to the puppy mill. Every puppy needs a home, no matter where it is from, they didn't ask to be from a puppy mill. ![]() By Amy from Kettering, OH Posted Nov 29, 2013 I purchased a beautiful Akita from Fetch at the Dayton Mall in August of 2000. She was very much loved and brought so much happiness in my life. She finally passed away of old age, 13 years old, never had health issues until her last few years. Age related problems. I still own a very healthy miniature dachshund who is now 12 years old, purchased from Fetch, again never any health problems. I would definitely want another puppy from there. I miss my Akita terribly. ![]() By AndreaW from Brookville, OH Posted Dec 9, 2011 While looking for the right hybrid for our family, it has been very helpful for our family to visit Fetch to observe the hybrids available then do research at home. There have been two pups that were perfect but we couldn't buy due to bad timing, but I was so impressed with the helpful staff and the sweet personalities of these two pups that I am seriously considering flying back to Dayton to get a Fetch pup, now that we are relocated in NC. It was important to me that the pups were with their moms until the time they were able to be sold. Mother dogs are good teachers and the puppies' time in a cage is only a couple of days or occasionally a couple of weeks. The pups are also being well socialized at Fetch. ![]() By Kiah S from Dayton, OH Posted Sep 27, 2011 We have purchased two adorable, loving, wonderful dogs from Fetch. One at the Dayton Mall location and one at Fairfield Commons. I absolutely LOVE our dogs. I would die for them, I love them so much and have literally stood in the path of an oncoming vehicle when run ran out the front door. The companionship and love I have received from these dogs is absolutely priceless. The dog we purchased from the Dayton Mall was very sick. She only weighed 2 pounds and had a parasite that her little body could not purge for 3 months. It was a parasite she got from her mother. We spent more in Vet bills than we did for the dog and I would spend every penny on her again. When you buy a pet its a risk you take. The second pup from Fairfield Commons is very healthy with no health issues at all. Although I can see where it may be best to buy from a private owner or reputable breeder . . . . when the purchases are not planned and you see the puppy and fall in love with him/her you buy them and take the risk on their health. Even if Fetch would have paid for my 1st dog's health issues I would have to use their Veterinarian and I prefer and trust my own Vet. The 1st visit was on day 8 of the purchase, 1 day after the warranty, and it was on a Sunday, the huge cost for that visit was unavoidable and saved her life. Knowing all of this, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat to have these two dogs and we still took the risk on the 2nd pup who weighed 3 pounds at purchase and to us it was worth the risk just to have the little guy and he had no issues at all. I am very thankful to Fetch for being in business because these dogs are just irreplaceable to me and our family. ![]() By pet enthusiest + former Fetch Employee from dayton, OH Posted Apr 12, 2011 I was an employee at Fetch at one point and as an animal rights enthusiest, and one who has worked in petstores for the past 6 years, I would have to say there is nothing wrong with Fetch and how they care for the dogs. They are all loved and we are encouraged to play with them and get them out as much as possible. Sometimes they are out too much and we need to restrict when they come out or they will get sick. All of our puppies find homes and are cared for. Even the slightest sniffle from one of the puppys is taken seriously and they are checked out and even medicated (if needed) by our experienced kennel staff. We have kennel workers whose sole purpose is to clean cages and make sure each and every puppy is healthy. And NO the puppys do not come from puppy mills they are from breeders (mostly local). So to whomever left the horrible comments on how horrible the puppys have it in the small cages and how they have no room and are "sick". One, things happen and you cant blame where you got the puppy. From the thousands of puppys we sell there will most likely be one out of every 100 that will have an issue, it doesn't mean they came from a mill, and two stop throwing suggestions with no real proof or backup. A GOOD business that actually takes CARE of the puppys is at stake. THESE PUPPYS DON'T COME FROM MILLS and each and every one of them are loved!!!! sometimes i'd prefer to see them safe and well cared for at Fetch than with some of the IDIOTS out there. ![]() By TIFFANY from DAYTON, OH Posted Mar 16, 2011 WOW OBVIOUSLY THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LEFT NEGATIVE REVIEWS HAVE NO COMMON SENSE WHEN IT COMES TO ANIMALS AND BREEDING OR THE FACT THAT FETCH IS A PRIVATE OWNED STORE NOT A CHAIN. AND WHO SAYS A BREEDER WOULDNT SEEL TO A PET STORE???? I GUESS YOU PEOPLE ON HERE KNOW IT ALL HUH. WELL I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IF THERE IS A MEDICAL ISSUE AND YOU NOTIFY FETCH AND GO ABOUT IT THE WAY THAT IS STATED IN THE WARRANTY FETCH WILL HELP YOU OUT WITH WHATEVER IS NEEDED!! AND KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE DOGS COME FROM BREEDERS NOT PUPPY MILLS!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG FETCH HAS BEEN AT THE DAYTON MALL AND THE FAIRFEILD MALL I MEAN COME ON. PET LAND WAS ONLY BY THE GREENE FOR A COUPLE YEARS AND GOT SHUT DOWN IF FETCH WAS REALLY PUPPY MILL RELATED WOULD THEY HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR 15 YEARS OR MORE??? PEOPLE ON HERE ARE VERY IGNORANT AND NERO MINDED AND PROBABLY SIT AT HOME AND WATCH WAY TO MUCH OPRAH!! BECAUSE IM PRETTY SURE THATS WHY YOU ARE ALL SCREAMING PUPPY MILL. OH WELL PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO MAKE STUPID REMARKS AND THINK THEY KNOW IT ALL. OH AND BY THE WAY KENNEL COUGH IS LIKE A COMMON COLD SO WOULD YOU SAY A MOTHER ISNT TREATING THEIR KIDS RIGHT IF THEY GET A COLD?? SHEESH SOME PEOPLE NEED TO BE EDUCATED...... ![]() By someone from Dayton, OH Posted Mar 4, 2011 Before you people want to run your mouths talking about things you obviously have no idea about, maybe you should take a look at facts... -Fetch is locally owned by one man, there are only 2 stores and in no way a franchise. -Fetch is NOT a puppy mill, retards. Puppy mills are over bred dogs at run down sick jokes of human beings' homes. -Fetch IS NOT associated with Petland. Petland is aweful in their treatment of animals, and where they get them from. (very large puppy mill in missouri -i forget the name) Hence the reason THEY WERE SUED and shut down. -lifting up a cage a few inches to clean it is in no way dangering a puppy or smashing it against glass. -AKC papers DOES NOT garuntee a dog healthy. it makes it registered and showable. thats it. and there are OTHER registries. CKC, APRI, ACA.... ETC! -kennel cough is CONTAGIOUS. its an airborn virus just like the common cold that humans can get. when you put dogs in a kennel, its very likely they can get it, and treated just fine with antiboitics. your dog is just as likey to get kennel cough being boarded as it is iat Fetch. -if youre paying thousands of dollars for something as minor as medication... you're being raped by your vet and if you could read, Fetch has a 3 year warranty on any kind of herditary diseases. -perhaps reading up on the "common health issues" that certain breeds are prone to would be a little smarter than buying a dog and assuming it should be healthy. Get a clue people.... you want a puppy mill? Go to Petland... OR go to an actual puppy mill! ![]() By Mike R from Miamisburg, OH Posted Feb 27, 2011 I am an employee at Fetch. It is difficult for me to understand the comments that claim people that work at fetch do not care about the puppies and that the puppies are all lice infested?!? First of all, I am a huge dog lover.. Before I started working at Fetch, I was convinced that no one loved these animals more that I did.. EVERYONE I know at Fetch is absolutly obsessed with dogs! Not only do they love dogs but the managment and are whole staff of pet care (takes care of dogs all day) goes above and beyond to try to keep them healthy and ready to go to good homes. If were paying your vet bills if somthing goes wrong with your puppy..... Were going to try our best to provide you with a healthy one. I am also proud owner of two healthy puppies from there. ![]() By Theresa c from Trotwood, OH Posted Nov 9, 2010 I purchased two pekinese pups from Fetch they were in excellent shape and very well taken care of. I would and will purchase all pets at fetch. ![]() By Linda from Franklin, OH Posted Oct 28, 2010 We've had our new puppy for almost a week now and he is doing really good. Took him to the vet earlier in the week and our new addition to our family is doing well. And very healthy and shots were up to date. So I would recommend Fetch-to friends and family. With anything you buy at a store you take your chances on if it works right. This is our first pet and we couldnt be happier. ![]() By Stephanie H. from Beavercreek, OH Posted Oct 4, 2010 We just bought a siamese kitten from Fetch in beavercreek this weekend. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to work with us. So far so good, the kitten is amazing. I am taking her for a check up weds to vet, but as of now, I am very happy and would buy another kitten from them in the future. ![]() By TL from Huber Heights, OH Posted Sep 26, 2010 Just bought a puppy there last night....he was fine the whole time we played with him and all the way home. About an hour after we got home...he started showing horrible signs of kennel cough. Makes me wonder if they're given something to mask it at the store...so it's not noticable until you're gone. The staff was great...no problems there. ![]() By Tracey from Cincinnati, OH Posted Jul 25, 2010 great labradoodle purchased 2 years ago. she is very healthy, smart and part of the family. she was sold as a "second generation" labradoodle? Does that mean she was bred labradoodle to labradoodle?? ![]() By Mandy H from Monroe, Ohio, OH Posted Mar 16, 2010 I have bought 4 dogs from Fetch over the years and NOT ONE of them had any problems. The staff at FETCH was very helpful. I had purchased a dog and a few days later my son had an allergy to the dog they refunded my money no problem. I have since bought another dog there 2 years ago and she is a wonderful dog. Out of the three we have from there NONE of them have any problems ![]() By TINA from DAYTON, OH Posted Mar 3, 2010 USUALLY WHEN A TINY BREED LIKE A CHIHUAHUA HAS LOW BLOOD SUGAR ITS FROM NOT FEEDING IT. SO FEED UR PUPPY AND TAKE CARE OF IT AND IT WONT HAVE LOW BLOOD SUGAR. DONT BLAME IT ON ANYONE ELSE LIKE FETCH.. BUT BLAME YOURSELF. WE BOUGHT A CHIHUAHUA ALSO AND MY VET SAID THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DONT FEED YOUR PUPPY. FEED YOUR DOG AND IT WONT HAVE SEIZURES!!! ITS NOONES FAULT BUT YOUR SELF. ![]() By Michelle from dayton, OH Posted Feb 1, 2010 I have owned 7 labrador retrievers in the last 31 years......The only one we bought directly from a breeder, not only was the costliest purchase but also the sickest. After we had her for -8 weeks and she had her first siezure, we contacted the breeder who offered to take her back and give us our money back, but they would be putting her down b/c they are a business and the dog would be of no use and costly health wise. We had already bonded with the dog and could not give her back. She further developed a immune system problem and $1,000 of dollars later, she passed away at 13 years old. She was a fighter as much as a lover! This was a reputable breeder from AKC parents! We went to this breeder with the intent of breeding, obviously this never happened. The remaining 6 labs, another directly from a breeder, another born in a boat house, 2 from first time breeders, one found on the higway, and one from FETCH. The one from Fetch is a wonderful dog, and absolutely beautiful. She is now 7 years old and has been healthy since the day we bought her. She had been in special care at Fetch for Kennel cough, which we knew before we bought her, but she was given a clean bill of health. Outside of her being the whitest lab with an affinity for mud puddles, I love this dog and would never think twice about purchasing from FETCH. FETCH LOVES THEIR BABIES, I have seen their employees cry with the mixed emotions of finding good homes for their puppies and going to miss them. ![]() By Animal lover from dayton, OH Posted Feb 1, 2010 I'm sorry to hear about all those who happened to get sick dogs from fetch but i know from experience thats not what Fetch is about. There have been 8 puppies alone that have been purchased by me or my family all of which have been healthy dogs to this day. I do admit one have kennel cough but Fetch took care of it for me. As someone who knows kennel cough is something that can happen at a boarding kennel, pet store, or even a breeder's home I wasn't too worried. The first innoculation for kennel cough doesnt always take. I also have several friends who have bought puppies from Fetch as well and they too have been nothing but healthy. I understand the frustrations as i would be upset too but don't go pointing fingers and assuming they come from puppy mills cause your vet assumes it or because they are sick. I purchased a dog directly from the breeder who was very nice and of which i saw both parents. That puppy had a seizure the very first night..they were not a puppy mill either. As far as the comment " Puppy Mill drop off store or a back yard breeder who can't sell what is left of his breeding. Yes I found out the hard way and My Vet said to stay away ". Fetch gets puppies at 8 weeks which is the proper time to be sold and they buy from the same breeders that sell to everyone else. As far as the comment about your vet..how do they know? Do they have Fetch's records? I think they are making assumptions based on the fact that Fetch is a pet store and they assume its like other pet stores that do get from puppy mills. Take a look at Petland who has been sued for buying puppy mill dogs amongst the poor treatment of the animals. I go into Fetch alot and I see how the people there really love the animals and they do a good job in taking care of them. There will be occasional problems just like you get when you buy directly from the breeders. Just my opinion..not an argument. Hope this helps to open some eyes. ![]() By Brandi O from Liberty Township, OH Posted Jan 4, 2010 I adore my five year old lab and would not ever have him replaced with any other dog.........but I would have to urge people to ask where the dogs do come from that are being sold at Fetch. When we first bought him and brought him home he had kennel cough and seemed to be scared of every noise and item in our home. The nervousness has let up a bit over the past five years. Within the past year he has been diagnosed with epilepsy. Now he is on medication daily. After doing much research on this disease my husband and I have taken every precaution to prevent future seizures (or at least the severity of them). He is on an organic diet and I pay attention to any cleaning chemicals used in the house. All the vet bills and medication he takes daily is worth it to ensure he has a great quality of life but I do believe next time we will look into adopting a dog from a local shelter. ![]() By Jessica m. from Enon, OH Posted Jan 1, 2010 Me and my mom bought our shiba inu from the fetch store in the bevercreek mall. He is a great do we named him tigger. We love him and he is healthy as can be. evry animal is going to hve ther health problems and evey person is going to have there opions its nothing to argue about. as long as you love your pet that is all that matters. ![]() By pet owner from Dayton OH, OH Posted Dec 31, 2009 people are always going to think what they want about pet stores and shelters alike. there will always be dogs in pet sotres and shelters both and as sad as it is to think about, every puppies need homes regardless of where they come from. if you fall in love with a dog you cant put a price on that. buy a dog for your companionship, not because of where it comes from !!! ![]() By Brenda from kentucky, OH Posted Dec 29, 2009 I was here with my mom and my sister and my little girl and we bought a Shih Tzu named Jack he is 10 weeks old now and he is wonderful I love him! ![]() By Brittany P from Defiance, OH Posted Oct 9, 2009 I bought my cock-a-poo fom Fetch last October and am very happy. I guess just got lucky. He's healthy and well. Share Your Review Please note: all reviews are screened for spam and take 24-48 hours to be approved.
