I have owned fish tanks for 10 years or so, and I recently discovered captain nemos. But you guys have to understand that its not the stores fault your fish dies....Its your fault. I hear this all the time from friends, and I later find out that their water is terrible, or they don't acclimate the fish right...try not to blame your own mistake on others. When purchasing a fish, always give it a good look, check for fungus, ammonia burns, etc... if the fish appears to look great and swim well its probably fine...until you bring it home. Other than that...The store is one of a kind, great stuff, great help, prices could drop but we are still in a recession so...... ![]() By pat m. from newtown square, PA Posted Dec 19, 2009 Tried to buy a gift certificate as a Christmas gift for someone who lives near the store (I live a long way from the store) and was unable to do so without driving there. Would think this would be easy to do with an outfit this big but was not. ![]() By John P from Norristown, PA Posted Jul 23, 2009 Almost every experience I've had with this store has been bad. Long wait times, quick-dying fish, and don't even try to return something...you're out of luck. Nice to visit...would never return. ![]() By Mark P from Eagleville, PA Posted May 5, 2009 I've been in there a few times, I own a salt water tank. They have great supplies and fish to help me out. But I haven't been there since John left, he's the only guy I could talk too about salt water. ![]() By CJ L from Norrsitown, PA Posted May 4, 2009 I will admit they are very impatient, but they are always busy I noticed. I've been there on a Sunday and I got great help from two men. 1 for Tropical Freshwater and then my African Cichlads. Chris and Scott I believe was their names, they were very helpful! ![]() By Dee D. from Lansdale, PA Posted Feb 19, 2009 This store packs a great visual impact, but after two visits and talking to several friends, I strongly sense that they are not interested in assisting the casual fishkeeper. If you are not there to set up a show tank and if you are not an avid hobbyist, this really isn't the store for you. They seem impatient with anyone who appears to be a browser or a casual dabbler. Their return policy is not friendly to the novice fishkeeper who is bound to make a few mistakes. Nemo's does not make those who are inexperienced with aquaria feel very welcome. The staff is highly experienced. It's too bad they don't drop the smugness and impart their knowledge to their potential future customers. I loved Martin's and had great service there. I was eager to make this my new favorite aquarium shop. I have been sadly disappoinedt. Share Your Review |
